The True Red Wing Classic - The Moc Toe 875 Oro Legacy
the most iconic Red Wing style - besides the Red Wing 8111 Iron Ranger - is probably the 875 Moc Toe
Red Wing's classic work boot, the style 875, was introduced in 1953 as daily shoe for farmers and workers in the factory and still is one of the most popular boots of the brand. The lightweight crepe sole featured a minimal tread design to reduce the mud that would cling to a farmer's boots but still provide the underfoot comfort the work day required. These classic boots featured a moctoe design, the name came from the word moccasin, the Indian word for shoe. This combination would become the iconic boot style for the Red Wing brand.
