For this model, we have combined the laptop compatibility of our Padded Computer Bag with the sleek design of our Original Briefcase, creating a bag that does its job anytime, anywhere.

For decades, our Tin Cloth with Oil Finish has protected foresters, miners, and athletes from moisture and harsh conditions—keeping their gear perfectly protected on every journey. The waxed canvas is treated with our Oil Finish and forms a barrier that repels rain, snow, and mud. Tin Cloth's abrasion and tear resistance is legendary, making the material an ideal choice for a lightweight bag that can withstand decades of use. The Bridle Leather handles and straps are vegetable-tanned by the iconic company Wickett & Craig, where the leather is slowly soaked in a special solution of cowhide tanning agents. In the final stage, oils and waxes are added, providing a deep luster and lasting flexibility. In this environmentally friendly process, cowhide is transformed into durable, supple leather that is perfect for horse tack, saddlery, and Filson bags. With its virtually indestructible solid brass YKK® zippers, this briefcase is designed for decades of use.

In developing the bag, not only durability but also comfort and practicality were considered. The interior is fully lined with Dry Finish Cover Cloth and features a padded laptop compartment that protects devices up to fifteen inches. On the outside, there are two storage pockets for items such as boarding passes and travel itineraries that must always be close at hand. Two zippered pockets with interior compartments provide secure and organized storage for valuables. On the back, there is a full-width storage pocket and a trolley strap that can be attached to the handle of a rolling suitcase—for hands-free travel.   Do not wash or dry clean—brush off dirt or clean with a damp cloth. Reapply wax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent oil transfer, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between oil-treated Filson clothing and light-colored fabrics, especially in warmer weather.
